With beautiful views, amazing spring wildflowers, and a relatively short effort, this is one of the most popular hikes in the Gorge. On a good day, you can get a view of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River.

Activity Notes
One part flower hike, one part conditioning hike.
We will start at the Dog Mountain Trail and make our way up the "more difficult" route to the summit, where we will have lunch. Expect a little over 7 miles with 2900’ gain for the entire loop. The loop should take several hours at a moderate pace. Bring the ten essentials (including plenty of food and water), trekking poles, layers, and a hat at minimum.
