Angel's Rest is one of the most popular hikes in the Columbia Gorge and affords gorgeous views of the Columbia River from it's summit. You'll hike through varied terrain, including lush green forest, a barren area from the 1991 forest fire, as well as pass by a waterfall.
This short hike is well worth the effort. Plan to arrive early on spring and summer weekends as it can get very crowded.
Activity Notes
Come and join us for a leisurely paced hike up Angels Rest located in the Columbia River Gorge. We will begin our hike at 8:00am at the Angel's Rest trailhead. For those carpooling, we will be leaving the Mazamas Mountaineering Center at 7:20am. The moderately uphill trail starts in thick forest, but gradually clears up exposing views and waterfalls. After lunch at the summit, we will gradually hike back, arriving at the parking lot at 12:00pm. <br>
