Activity Notes
Our Route:
Skyline Loop with Panorama Point and Myrtle Falls
This hike in Rainier National Park will be about 6.5 miles with 2000 feet of elevation gain. But don't be fooled, it is not a "walk in the park." You will need to be conditioned for elevation. We will go slow and smell all the roses, watch the marmots, take pictures, enjoy the views.
The start point of this hike is Paradise, which is often very busy and difficult to park. So the goal will be to get an alpine, O-dark-thirty start.
Entering Rainier National Park
The National Park entrance fee is $30 per vehicle. As of this posting, the park has not issued a decision on whether timed entry passes into the park will be required for 2025.
Campground
Leader has secured group campsite for night of Friday, July 11. Reimbursement for campsite will be $10/pp
