This is an A level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. A level hikes are easy or less strenuous hikes with less than 8 miles in distance and less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers activities targeted to those in their 20s and 30s and anyone young at heart. All activities are open everyone, regardless of age.

Hike the northernmost tip of Oregon near the mouth of the Columbia! We will hike through an old military fort to the beach and have lunch near an old shipwreck! This is a 10 mile flat trail. 

Option for seafood and beer at Buoy Brewing in Astoria on the way home.
