Hurricane Creek Trailhead to Thorp Creek (Eagle Cap) trail, past meadows with campsites to the northeast of the mountain, eventually climbing onto a granite slab with an obvious path to the summit of the 6th highest mountain in Oregon.

Activity Notes

On Sunday morning, starting at 06:00, we will continue up the trail and climb onto a giant granite slab on which we will complete our ascent of Sacajawea. Expect to spend up to two hours on this granite slab with great footing in dry conditions.

Climb leader Bill Stein previously climbed Sacajawea via Thorp Creek in August 2019.

After the climb, we will descend to camp, pack up the camp, backpack out, and drive home.
