This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Coyote Wall Loop Trail offers gorgeous views of the Columbia River & Mt. Hood when the weather cooperates.  Who’s feeling lucky in mid-December?  Regardless, rain or shine, we will hike, so don't forget that rain gear!

Our route will vary slightly from the AllTrails map linked below, as a portion of the trail is closed due to reseeding.  Total mileage will be approximately 7.5 miles with 1775 of elevation gain.

For those who wish to Carpool from the MMC, please arrive in time for a 7:45 a.m. departure. We will plan on leaving the Trail Head at 9:00 a.m. if you wish to meet us there.
