The Mazamas have a long history of trail tending in the Pacific Northwest.

Tasks at these activities will often include cutting logs, trimming brush, and clearing drain dips. No experience necessary, but certifications such as crosscut saw training are very helpful!

Activity Notes

Please join us on August 17th for a collaboration with TrailKeepers of Oregon-TKO ( https://trailkeepersoforegon.org/ ) and help  some of our favorite trails recover from recent fires  TKO will provide the tools, safety gear, training and supervision, and we provide the Mazama power! We will meet at the MMC to carpool early in the AM (exact time TBD), and should be back by 4 PM. This will be the first in a series of trail tending events we will be collaborating with TKO on through the Fall, with the goal of  reopening now-closed trails due to the Eagle Creek and Riverside fires. You will need to register for the event on TKO's Eventbrite site (link to be provided once you have signed up).
