Join Adventurous Young Mazamas for two nights in front of the fireplace at historic Mazama Lodge in Government Camp and two days of snowy adventures on the mountain. We'll have snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the day and hot catered breakfasts and dinners, board games, crafts, sledding and more in the evenings. We can accommodate your dietary needs.


The Lodge is a Mazama treasure and we all need to contribute to taking care of it. We ask all participants to put in an hour of volunteer service while there. Tasks include stacking and splitting firewood, prepping meals, and cleaning. Costs cover lodge fee and food

Experience the exhilaration of Winter Weekend as we revive this cherished tradition after a hiatus since 2020! Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland at the iconic Mazama Lodge in Government Camp with the Adventurous Young Mazamas. 

Embark on a thrilling journey with two nights and three days of snowy escapades from February 16-18, 2024. Traverse the snow-covered landscape with snowshoeing and Nordic skiing during the day, and enjoy sledding adventures behind the lodge in the crisp afternoons. 

As the sun sets, cozy up and unwind in the warmth of the lodge beside the crackling fireplace. Engage in lively board games, share stories, and make lasting memories with your fellow adventure enthusiasts. Picture yourself surrounded by 60 of your newest friends, creating connections that will last a lifetime.

The event fee includes two continental breakfasts, a hearty dinner, activities throughout the weekend, and two nights of hostel-style lodging. Please note that participants are required to bring their own winter recreation equipment, lunches, and bedding. The Lodge is a Mazama treasure and we all need to contribute to taking care of it.
