Winter is coming, let's climb Mount St. Helens! This will be a one day, car-to-car climb from Marble Mountain Sno-Park. Being a winter climb weather can be more of a challenge. Consequently, the climb may be rescheduled several times before we find a good weather window.  I'll email the people that apply as we track the weather and pick a "go" date, to see who can make it. This is a non-technical climb, but climbing it in winter requires bringing crampons, ice axe, helmet, trekking poles, and possibly snowshoes (although I hope to avoid them). We will also use Avy beacons, so bring your own, or I can provide a loaner from the Mazamas. A Washington Sno-Park permit will also be required for each car.
