The Mount Defiance hike is a steep hike with great views of the surrounding mountains on a clear day. You can make it a loop hike by going up the Starvation Ridge Trail and back down the Mount Definance Trail or you can go out and back on the same trail. We will meet at the South West end of the parking lot

What to bring:

Head lamp, water, food, dress in layers, hiking pole, micro spikes.

Cancellation: In case it snows badly or very heavy rain then we might cancel the hike

Please note it is almost 5000 feet elevation gain.

It will be very slow paced with plenty of rest breaks.

Anyone with determination can do this. However it is very tough

The trail is very safe and the climb is very gradual.

For every mile we gain 1000 feet.
