Activity Notes
SSI Field Session: Team B only. Likely on Mt Hood's Eliot Glacier. Please try to arrive at Cloup Cap campground Friday night, as we will start hiking early on Saturday (~6am) as it is 2 hours to the field session's location. We will carry water and lunches and return to Cloud Cap to camp Saturday night, back on Eliot Glacier Sunday and will try to quit early to get back to Cloud Cap by 4pm
Bring your pack, helmet, harness, boots, crampons (can be horizontal or vertical), tools (some people like to have a walking ax in addition to ice tools), belay device, anchor material, 3 quick draws. We will not be able to return to camp for lunch so have food and water packed. You will need camping gear of your choice at Cloud Cap for Friday and Saturday night.
Other gear will be provided by SSI (ropes, ice tool tethers/umbilicals, pickets, ice screws, thread kits and tat)
