Activity Notes
From Oregon Hikers website: The summit still has the foundation pillars from an old fire lookout — a cupola-style lookout was built there in 1920. On a clear day you get a genuinely wide-open panorama: Mount Adams dominates the eastern skyline, Mount Rainier is visible to the north, and Mount St. Helens along with the Indian Heaven ridgeline show to the west, with Mount Hood and the Gorge peaks rounding out the view to the south. The Big Lava Bed is also visible spreading out to the west and south.
This is a short steep hike!
