Ready to test backpacking gear for summer? Join us on an overnight trek into Badger Creek Wilderness. We'll begin in oak grasslands at Ball Point trailhead, gradually ascending to a primitive campsite overlooking the high desert.  The next day we'll pass an abandoned cabin and mine, returning along Little Badger Creek. From here, we'll return to the trailhead overland. As a gradual trek with water sources, this trail is more suitable for newer backpackers while still offering a challenge.  ?8.3 miles, 2650' --- Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers outdoor activities year-round targeted to younger adults in their 20s & 30s and anyone who is young at heart.
