Ingraham Direct (also referred to as Ingraham Glacier-Upper Ingraham Direct) is an early to mid season route, usually climbed from above Ingraham Flats through its center to the top of Disappointment Cleaver.

Activity Notes

Summary: The team will meet at Paradise on Saturday, May 27th to register and obtain our climbing permits. We will then begin the climb towards Camp Muir. We will camp at Muir at around 10,100 feet elevation. Sunday, May 28th will be our planned summit day. We will get an alpine start and ascend the Ingraham Direct route to the summit. For the descent we will carefully retrace our route back to our base camp. We may stay that night in camp or we can hike out depending on how we feel after the climb. We will drive back to Portland on Monday, May 29th. Wilderness Permits are TBD. We are trying for a walk-up permit for Saturday at Camp Muir otherwise we will use the Muir Snowfield Alpine Zone.
