This is a beautiful waterfall that can be seen after a short snowshoe trek that is magnificent in the winter.

Starting at the Sherwood Trailhead, follow the sign towards Tamanwas Falls. You will walk through the woods towards the river, and cross it on the log bridge. After crossing the creek, you will begin to head uphill. Keep going this way through the woods for nearly 2 miles, and you will reach the 150 foot falls. You can explore around here and find the best angle for a photo op, but I find that the best opportunity is right on the trail. Return back the same way you came.

Activity Notes

This is an in and out hike to see an amazing frozen waterfall.  Parking tends to be limited.  Carpooling and early arrival are really essential. The sun tends to be out on this side of the mountain much more often.  Although, I can make no promises.  Mostly the views are of the canyon, creeks, bridges and the waterfall.  Plan on a full day with snacks and food.  We will be travelling up the gorge to HWY 35.  Weather in the Gorge will affect us.
