This beautiful trail is for Intermediate skiers who want a challenge. It is a 7.6 mile round trip for the upper lake, and 9.7 miles for both lakes, both with about 1100 cumulative elevation gain. Starting from the Barlow Pass Sno-Park, you'll gain 500 ft over 1.3 miles - remember this hill and control your speed on your way back out. Travel through forest and meadows to reach the upper lake, with a view of the top of Hood from the south end of the lake. The trail from the upper lake down to the lower lake is moderately steep, best saved for Advanced skiers.
