The Mazamas believes in making high-quality education accessible so everyone can love and protect the mountains. Finances shouldn't be a barrier to taking a course — tuition assistance is available for most educational programs.

How to Apply

Tuition assistance applications are part of each individual class application. All requests are reviewed anonymously and awarded based on stated needs and available funds. Tuition assistance packages are communicated ahead of enrollment, giving applicants time to make an informed decision before committing — cards are not charged until acceptance. Payment plans are also available for select courses.

Tuition assistance covers course tuition only, up to 70% of the class cost. Other course-related expenses may apply; see the course home page for full costs and logistics.
