Aid Climbing Practice for All Participants: September 23 at the MMC from 6–8 p.m.
Monkey Face Climb: Either Saturday 9/25 or Sunday 9/26. You can indicate your availability after you register.
COVID-19 Vaccine is required to participate in this activity.
This event is designed for experienced multi pitch climbers, who perhaps even lead sport or trad, but don't have the aid gear or techniques for attempting this on their own. The climbing is moderate, with a couple stout 5.6 moves on the first pitch, and 10 feet of slightly overhung 5.7 out of the Monkey's mouth, but the exposure is very real. Despite the low grade, this is not a climb for beginners.
This is not a two day climb. Once registration closes you will indicate your preference to climb either Saturday or Sunday, with a required Aid Climbing practice session at the MMC on Thursday evening 6p-8pm 9/23 for all participants. We will climb as a team of 4, with two followers each day.<br> <br>
