Wilderness First Responder (WFR) RECERT July 2026

This course is a two day, in-person practical to recertify Wilderness First Responder qualification. The practical includes hands-on skills practice and scenarios and unique learning approaches to give students an active, engaging, and in-depth opportunity to learn Wilderness First Aid. This course is offered independently by Mazamas as a Base Medical Education Center. Base Medical has a grace for an expired WFR certification of 1 year. Certifications from other organizations are accepted.

Activity Notes

The training location will be at the Mazama Mountaineering Center located: 527 SE 43rd Avenue Portland, OR 97215

This is a hybrid learning course that requires completion of an on-line learning (24 hours) prior to the start of the course.

Training will be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days.

Applicants must provide proof of current WFR credentials that are valid and within the one year of grace period as of July 12, 2026.
