(HA) Evening Travel Program: Scrambling High Peaks in the Wallowas
Dec

7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The Wallowas. Where else in Oregon can you scramble up eight mountains over 9,000’ in eight days? In August 2019, a Mazama Outing led by Bill Stein and Eugene Lewins took five folks on an epic backpacking loop and a couple of day trips to visit a landscape replete with wildflowers, berries, and views of Oregon’s Alps. Mountains climbed included Aneroid, Matterhorn, and Sacajawea. This presentation by Bill Stein and Emily Carpenter will share dramatic stories of the adventure along with images of rock formations, smoke clouds, wildlife, and more.
