this is an out and back hike of 2200 feet and about 9 miles. Very gentle Hike up elk creek trail to the lunch spot of elk king and back down. The parking is at the end of the parking lot of elk campground, the same parking lot for elk-king traverse it is about 50 miles from town Bring 10 essentials and rain gear
