Salmon River Trail (Upper)

Activity Notes

This hike winds along the beautiful, crystalline Salmon River through deep, old growth forest. We will meet at the trailhead next to the bridge over the Salmon River (directions below), and hike upstream along the Salmon River Trail for approx.  2 miles before returning the way we came. There will be approx. 300" of elevation gain. Directions:  Driving East on Highway 26 from Portland, in ZigZag, OR turn right on E. Salmon River Road, proceed for 5 miles on the E. Salmon River Road to the trailhead, which is small parking lot  on the left before you cross the bridge.
