Activity Notes
Affinity Space (AS): This is a substance-free space. The activity will not include talk or the use of any drugs or alcohol. Our intention is to create a safe space free from substance use for those who want one.
This climb is a reschedule for climbers of the June 11 climb that was canceled due to weather. All climbers that were part of that climb will be accepted.
Unicorn Peak is the tallest peak in the Tatoosh Range, nestled right up next to Mt Rainier to its south. It is a great post-BCEP climb involving snow travel, ice axe and crampon use through a steep couloir, and a short fifth class rock pitch with a rappel on the summit pinnacle.
Vehicle entry into Mount Rainier National Park is $30 per car unless you have an America the Beautiful pass or another pass for entry. We may camp the night before. Please keep these costs in mind as they are not covered by the climb application fee.
Preference will be given to BCEP 2022 Team 11 Students and Assistants.
