Mt. Hood (Wy'east), South Side

Activity Notes

Rescheduled climb from May 19-20. This is a climb of the south side of Mt. Hood, which means that the ultimate route from the Hogsback  will be determined by the conditions of the day.  This may be via the Old Chute, the Pearly Gates or the Mazamas Chute.  Be prepared for steep snow climbing.  This can include free climbing or fixed line travel using crampons and ice ax.  Based on this a second ice tool is often useful.
