Mt. St. Helens, Swift Creek Worm Flows

Activity Notes

This is a midweek climb of St.  Helens to avoid crowds.  We will only go if weather is nice, otherwise I will reschedule within the following week.  You need basic competence with Ice Axe on moderate angle snow. Crampons might be needed if hard snow. If we had recent snow, snowshoes could required. We will meet at 630AM at the Marble Mountain trailhead (NW Forest Pass required). Our pace will be moderate with hourly breaks. Expect to reach the summit around Noon.  If conditions are good we can glissade on descent and be back to cars around 5PM.
