Activity Notes
This 6.5 mile, 2000 elevation gain route is a fun and challenging snowshoe with a spectacular view of Mt Hood s north side, with some historical buildings to visit along the way. Meet at Tilly Jane sno park (Oregon sno park pass required) at 8:30. Participants should bring bring both microspikes and snowshoes, as well as weather-appropriate clothing and the 10 essentials. The first mile of the Tilly Jane Ski Trail is under tree cover and may be icy or hard-packed snow. Then the trail passes through the 2008 Gnarl Ridge burn, arriving at the historic Tilly Jane A-frame at mile 2.5. From here we follow a snow-covered road to reach Cloud Cap Inn, our lunch spot and turnaround point. We return via the same route. With good conditions, expect 5 hours round trip.Canceled
