Activity Notes
Update on Dec. 9th for our Round Lake hike on Saturday, December 11th: According to today's weather prediction we will have rain and wind on the day of our hike. We will choose trails and areas that will not be a treacherous. Best advice is for you to bring a small umbrella and use a walking stick/poles. The falls will be spectacular and the park is beautiful, whatever the weather. See you soon. Helen.
This hike will start at the Lacamas Creek entrance on 3rd Street. (For Google maps, type in Lacamas Creek Trail Parking area Camas WA). Do not go to the main Round Lake parking on Route 500. Lacamas Creek entrance is just east of downtown on 3rd steet on the left just beyond Bloch baseball field. Which trails we take will depend on weather but most trails are fine in the rain. A few can be muddy but the mud drops off on the way back to the cars. And the waterfalls are splendid in December!
Sorry, will not meet anyone for a ride to this hike due to uncertainty of new Covid guidelines. Be prepared to wear a mask until we distance on the trail. Helen Wahl-Stephens will be leading this hike and Jim Selby will be her assistant.
