This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Popular central Oregon hike in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. Starting at Jack Lake, We’ll hike to a high alpine meadow, and continue up a glacial moraine for close-up views of Three Fingered Jack. Meet at the Sisters Ranger Station at 9:00 am.   7.5 miles/1600 feet of elevation gain.
