Activity Notes

Come help maintain our namesake trail on Mt Hood by repairing tread, brushing, clearing drains and cutting logs, There will be activities to suit all levels, training and tools provided. Be sure to have sturdy boots, long pants, long sleeves, eye protection and gloves (USFS requirements), we’ll have hardhats available. Between the storm damage from last September and the usual winter issues, there were 112 trees across the trail in mid-June. That number is down to 80 now due to preliminary cutting activity but we can’t fully open this trail without your help!

Note: Dry camping available at trailhead for those interested in multiple days.

You will need to sign the Volunteer Agreement and have Volunteer Agreement Badge to sign up. If you don't already have this badge (go here) to get the badge and then return to this page to sign up.

As you sign up you will need to read and agree to three agreements from the forest service. You will be prompted to read each form as you sign up.
