Activity Notes

This is a four day climb with a three-day weather window for the summit. Permits cost an additional $40 per person.  The current permit includes one night at Five Mile Camp and four nights at Glacier Meadows Camp.  When we pick up the permits on Saturday morning, we will try to switch night 1 for Olympus Guard station or similar.   Saturday, July 3rd: Meet at Quinault Ranger Station at 9:00 AM.  Proceed to TH and hike in to camp. Sunday, July 4th: Proceed to Glacier Meadows Camp, scout the Blue Glacier Monday, July 5th-Wednesday, July 7th: possible summit days.  We will monitor weather forecasts and plan accordingly.   After summit day we will hike out in one day.   Plan to return to Portland late Thursday, July 8th.  However if we summit Monday 7/5, we may return to Portland as early as late Tuesday 7/6.
