Cook Hill is a great alternative to Dog Mountain, with flower meadows on the way up, and a view at the summit. The trailhead is 3 miles east of Dog Mountain, up Cook-Underhill Rd. Park at the pull-out on the right across from Jackson Rd. Hike time 9:00 a.m. My cell number is 503-312-7252.
