Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
With beautiful views, amazing spring wildflowers, and a relatively short effort, this is one of the most popular hikes in the Gorge. On a good day, you can get a view of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River.

Let’s start 2021 with a positive activity - we will hike up The Dog. Spikes and poles with snow baskets mandatory - maybe snow shoes also - will advise closer to the date. Dress for biting cold and wind - bring extra clothing - hand/foot warmers strongly encouraged. Hot beverages suggested!
