Snowshoe up White River Canyon

Activity Notes

Come along for an evening snowshoe near Mt Hood. 4.5 miles RT, 600 ft. Drive 180. Required: Snowshoes and headlamp. Limited to minimum of hikers for safety.

  • Reaching the trailhead will require a suitable vehicle, traction and Sno-Park permit for winter conditions.
  • As an alpine winter hike, be ready for subzero temps and high wind. For heavy precip, trip will be called off or relocated.

Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers outdoor activities year-round targeted to younger adults in their 20s & 30s. All activities are open to everyone 18 and over who can safely participate in our events. Our events are alcohol, smoking, and drug free. Pets are only allowed if the leader has specifically designated the event as pet-friendly.
