This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

The trail starts at Rainbow Campground (1,400’) and ends at Riverside Campground (1,480’). From Rainbow Campground the trail climbs gradually through old growth trees along the Oak Grove Fork of the Clackamas River to the confluence with the Clackamas River. The leader has been to the Trailhead but not hiked this trail.
