This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Come see a part of Silver Falls State Park in the forested "backcountry" of Oregon's

largest state park. Enjoy plenty of switchbacks along mostly gentle slopes.Pass thru

groves of ancient Douglas firs and cross several small creeks along the way.

$ 5 parking fee per vehicle. 10.3 miles with 1750' elevation gain.Drive 136 miles R/T.
