Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
With beautiful views, amazing spring wildflowers, and a relatively short effort, this is one of the most popular hikes in the Gorge. On a good day, you can get a view of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River.

Start the decade with an exhilarating hike up Dog Mountain! We'll hike up the scenic trail past Puppy Dog to the summit. We'll take the Augspurger Trail back down.
Be prepared for ice, snow, and wind.
Bring Microspikes or some kind of traction, at least. Snowshoes may be required.
