This is an A level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. A level hikes are easy or less strenuous hikes with less than 8 miles in distance and less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

A mid-winter neighborhood hike on the east side. Starting from the top of Mt. Tabor we'll meander through city streets, the Rose City golf course and up the side of Rocky Butte. There is a steepish section right at the end. Then we'll retrace our steps, more or less, and take the long staircase back to the Mt. Tabor crater parking lot. 8 miles RT and 1000 feet elevation gain, eventually
