Activity Notes

Pinnacle peak is one of the peaks of the Tatoosh Range in Rainier National Park. From the summit of Pinnacle you get amazing views of Mt. rainier to the north.

The East Ridge of Pinnacle is a fun alpine rock climb to the summit of Pinnacle Peak. It has a short approach followed by fun easy rock. It is a one day trip.

The route itself begins at the saddle between castle and Pinnacle. The first section is a scramble up to some trees. From here the technical climb begins and is an exposed rock climb with a few moves of up to 5.6. The last pitch begins in a small notch and proceeds along the ridge to the summit. This pitch is mostly a scramble near the summit with a few 5th class moves down below.
