This out and back hike begins at Deschutes State Park and follows a former railroad right of way along the east bank of the river. The trail passes through sagebrush range land and basalt rock formations, with expansive views of the lower Deschutes canyon. 11 miles. 300 feet elevation. 180 driving miles.
