Activity Notes
Late summer climb of our region's most active volcano. On the day after Labor Day, we could have any weather, so folks must be prepared for anything from heat to cold with wind, rain and/or snow, and it's possible we could get all in the same day. Most of the climb is above treeline, so sun protection is a must. This is not a climb for casual hikers! Rather, it's a long day that includes boulder scrambling and steep ash. This climb is open to all ages 8+, and because it may be the only climb of a glaciated peak I lead this year, I plan to include a few folks ready and eager to join Mazamas upon a successful climb.Registration is Closed
