Activity Notes

Hike the trails on a loop starting at Catherine Creek  (on the Washington side of Columbia river east of Hood River).   We will climb up about 1200 feet past a rock arch, then traverse west to the Coyote Wall scarp. Descend along this, then back up through the Labyrinth canyon with its waterfalls. Then we  traverse back east and down to the starting point.

Great views of the river and southern hills.  Many wildflowers this time of year. Leader stops for photos at interesting spots.  Overall a moderate pace with hourly breaks and lunch at a high point. 8 miles and 2200 feet elevation gain.

Meet at MMC at 830AM to carpool (Optional - meet us at Catherine Creek trailhead 945AM).  Around 140 miles driving total.
