Activity Notes

This is an up-and-over climb of the Sunshine Route, departing from the Tilly Jane trailhead. After leaving some of the vehicles at Timberline Lodge, we will carpool to the trailhead at Tilly Jane SnoPark. On Day 1 we will hike from the trailhead to camp at 8,000' at the base of Snow Dome. On our summit day we'll break camp and head out early, summit via the Sunshine Route, then descend the south side to our cars. Our route travels through extensive crevasse fields, and terrain up to 45 degrees.
