Activity Notes
We will have lunch at and return from the rock outcrop overlooking the Salmon River valley & waterfall. I will have a stove, so bring your cup, extra water and coffee, tea or soup for a warm lunch drink. I recommend bringing traction spikes. If it is heavy rain, the hike will be cancelled, so please check your email or send me an email which will be answered before 8 a.m. the hike day. Our pace is steady and gentle. My whole point in being out is to share the experience with others and enjoy the sounds and sights that nature provides. Two books you might want to read before hiking on this beautiful trail: The Hidden Life of Trees - Peter Wohlleben, and The Tree - John Fowles. 7.2 miles. 950 ft. of elevation gain. Meet at the Upper Salmon River trailhead parking at 9:15 a.m. and depart at 9:30 a.m.Registration is Closed
