This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

Columbia Gorge, Washington side, above the town of White Salmon. Please note that as a "2.5 pace" this is a faster than average hike.

We will hike up through the the grass, oak and ponderosa pine covered slopes to the top of 2200 ft. Burdoin Mountain, then loop back down. Exploratory. 10 miles, 2600 ft. elevation gain. 120 miles round trip driving distance. Meet at Gateway Transit Center for 8AM departure.
