This is an C level Mazama Hike that occurs in a non-wilderness area. C level hikes are difficult or strenuous hikes with either over 15 miles in distance or over 3,000 feet elevation gain. C level hikes require you to apply; once you apply you will receive an email within a few days letting you know if you have been accepted onto the hike.

Activity Notes

Gorge point-to-point hike that tags the summits of 3,660’ Augsperger Mtn and 3,100’ Cook Hill. Marvelous views, chilly breezes and probably more than a few miles in virgin snow. For the experienced and fit hiker. We'll go at a brisk pace with frequent short stops in order to stay warm and complete this strenuous hike before dark. Headlamp required. Leader will advise on the need for snowshoes and/or boot traction. Car shuttle.
