Unimaginatively named and surrounded by a plethora of other climbing options, Red Mountain is an under-appreciated peak, yet with fantastic 360 views and year-round access, Red Mountain is a solid snow or rock scramble goal. It is also one of the Top 100 prominence peaks in Washington and site of a former fire lookout.

Activity Notes

This Spring climb is an overnight Winter camping outing. We'll meet at the TH early evening Sat Apr 21, hike in ~1.5 miles, set up a Winter camp, and enjoy a potluck! In the morning, we'll ascend directly up the East slope to the ridge and summit (~3200 ft, ~3 miles) then hopefully glissade or plunge-step back down. Full snow camping and travel gear required, excluding any glacier equipment.
