Activity Notes

Annual tradition of hiking Hamilton/Hardy after a Thanksgiving feast. We'll start at the Equestrian Trailhead at Beacon Rock State Park, and hike up the Equestrian Trail to the East Hardy Trail. We will connect up with the Bridge Trail which will lead us up to the Upper Hardy Trail.Past the  outhouse we'll connect to Don's Cutoff and have lunch on top of Hamilton. We'll take the Equestrian trail down to the trailhead. It is a 6.9 mile hike with 1300 Ft. elevation gain. There is no cell phone service at the trailhead, but there is an outhouse if needed. A Discovery Pass is required and can be obtained at the kiosk near the bathrooms on Route 14.
