Activity Notes

Prindle Mountain is part of a small network of informal trails west of Archer Mountain. Since this area gets far less traffic than most Gorge trails, it will likely be overgrown in spots. Our hike is an out-and-back to a viewpoint that looks across to Multnomah Falls. Along the way, we'll pass through a small grove of impressively large trees.

We'll cover about 7 miles with around 2100 ft of elevation gain. Almost all of the gain is in the first 2.5 miles which makes for a good workout. Note, a short section of the trail has quite a bit of poison oak which on previous hikes has been easy to avoid with care.

Carpools will depart from the MMC at 7:30 am. We'll hike at a brisk pace which should have us back by 1:30 pm.
