This is an C level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. C level hikes are difficult or strenuous hikes with either over 15 miles in distance or over 3,000 feet elevation gain. C level hikes require you to apply; once you apply you will receive an email within a few days letting you know if you have been accepted onto the hike.

Activity Notes

Soda Peaks Lake is approx 10 miles RT with 3,000 ft of elevation gain in the Trapper Creek Wilderness. There are reports of blowdowns, along with reports of work crew efforts. I would expect some blowdowns. Weather permitting, the lake is a pleasant lunch spot. NW Forest Pass required; bathrooms available. $15 carpool riders. 7am departure from MMC.

 

Due to wildfire activity/trail closure (High Lava Fire) this hike has been canceled.
