Activity Notes

Come exploring with me! This is an exploratory hike, meaning that I have not done this hike before. While this is on established trails and I will do my research beforehand, there may be unexpected encounters with fallen trees, overgrown debris, small creek crossings, light route-finding/scrambling, etc. Please have an open mind and be excited for adventure!

Out-and-back in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness to the summit of Marion Mountain.

This trail will pass Marion Falls and Marion Lake along the way. The gain is supposedly consistent rather than significantly steep.

Permits: I have secured 12 permits, the maximum amount for a wilderness area. You do not need to get a permit.

Carpool from Clackamas Town Center at 6:45AM or you can meet us at Marion Lake TH at 9:00AM. NWFP required. Suggested gas contribution is $22/passenger.
